Wire Fogs to flash same time as Full Beam?

So basically I want to wire up the fog lamps to come on with the Full beam but still work independently.

Has anyone any expertise or know how whether this is easy or possible?

You are asking for a ticket if you do that. Fogs and Highs at the same time are not a good thing. that's why the manufacturers wire them the way they do. If you want to blind people, put a light rail on the front and pretend to be a pro rally car.

There wouldn't be any blinding... I don't use high beam when there is oncoming traffic.
Light bar would look awful, not really wanting to change the look of my car...

Theoretically though, is it easy ?
Or is it an auto electrician job?

It would fail an mot of course but yeh, easy with a couple of diodes (min 10A rating). Hardest bit is hacking into the loom and splicing the wires without making a mess. The diodes will dissipate around 5w so would need to be on a small piece of aluminium heatsink or similar. Search 10A stud diode on google to get an idea. It's critical that the diode and any associated heatsink doesn't touch chassis of course as that is ground!

Very interesting. I'm not wanting to do the same, but did I read somewhere a similar diagram that outlined how to wire the fogs as DRL's. Say if I gut out the internals of the fogs and put in a DRL element?
