Wipers Sticking

This has been happening for a little while and I haven't really bothered with it, but now that we've got the bad weather and I've been using the wipers more, it's getting annoying.

When I turn the wipers on, they raise about 4 inches and then stop. If it's on intermittent, then it seems to do that on every other wipe.

Has anyone had this issue and is it simple to fix?

Shocking, it's been talked about loads too... sorry, actually came to be helpful; be very very careful when removing the wiper pan cover! The little plastic things that hold it on are buggers.

Just to add... since doing SK93's fix I have had zero wiper issues!

srhutch - that reminds me, and I know it wasn't related to this issue, but did the dealer sort the pan cover out on your's?
 
Yep, had another new one fitted, that's 2 in six months as they had to replace it when they replaced the wiper motor/linkage before.
