Wipers packed up

For the past few weeks had the wipers stopping in random places and then last night they finally stopped near the top of the windscreen!! They are now stuck and will not move at all. Left the car overnight and started it today and still no joy?

Does this look like it's a new motor or has anyone else had this happen and found a quick fix? I'm guessing the fact they will now not move at all it spells £££££ :(

Could do without this having just bought a new set of painted wheels off Mr Wilks!! Lol of which they now look awesome I have to say?

If you do a search there is a how to for degreasing the wiper motor.
I did this for the wipers bouncing back up before parking.

Yours maybe more terminal than that, it could be the motor or a broken linkage, you need to get the wiper arms off and remove the scuttle panel and have a look.

It's not a long or hard job to strip down. Search for the how to

Yeah the fact they've stopped it does seem more terminal. I was going to attempt the cleaning guide at the weekend but now it looks like it's something more serious.

Luckily my mechanic can hopefully sort it for me next week

Try cleaning guide first.
If the linkage has broken I suspect you will have one working one not. It is possible to repair the linkage as well I had the drivers side dislocate from the mech.
Quick drill and tap out and then thread lock a bolt in with a large washer on top worked.

Well thank god for a decent mechanic.

It's my faulty fuse box that has caused the issues with the wiper and also now the washer has stopped working. Thankfully a second hand fuse box should be obtained and fitted tomorrow followed by a full diagnostics to check everything. May still need the clean fix that helps for the wipers stopping in random places or this may have been due to that issue too.
