Wiperblade Cutter

Anyone bought this? As the proud owner of 8 wipers it seems like a good idea, if it works!

I've seen articles on these too. Can't remember if it's the same one but serves the same purpose. Be interested too, think I saw them on Amazon. Someone on here must have one!

I’d add them to the snake oil product pool
Wiper rubber ages and most of mine fail with tears where they flex at the ends
Trying to cut another perfect edge is a waste of time

Clean the blade and screen and if it smears then buy a new one for a few ££’s

I’ve recently bought one of these but haven’t used it yet, with the cost of decent blades easily going over £25 I thought it was worth a punt :?

The very best Bosch blades for my Z4 I think are £22 a pair ... how much did your car cost? ...

It sounded like a good idea at the time, maybe I got suckered in!

I know someone who tried one and said if you don’t get a good clean sweep with the cutter it buggers your wiper up.
I just bought these.

It works initially but doesn't last long. The second cut leaves it smeary as it's too thick by that stage.

Don't bother...

I bought this gadget a few weeks back, thought worth a punt

Pretty rubbish and I binned it, along with wipers I tried it on!

First wiper just about got through, though the last inch or two went all grabby and just created a serrated edge. second wiper was rough all the way along.

Drove to Halfords and picked up a new set and chalked it up to fallling for internet marketing

Good to see genuine customer user feedback to confirm the assumed forum wisdom :)

I think it’s a good idea, but doesn’t work in practice. Rubber tends to go brittle etc.
