Wiper Parking Position

Just taken delivery of my car for a second time, after the local Dealer replaced the wiper linkage.

Picked up the first time after pointing out the plastic cover was loose on near side, and offside blade was to high when parked, this to me was obvious and it nearly hit the A Pillar whilst being used.

Collected today after being advised a new cover was being ordered as mine was warped, and advised the blade was now level with the edge of the blackout on the windscreen. OK I though, but again I have reported this as being to high, passanger is correct and lower.

I would be grateful if someone could advise roughly where their off side wiper parks in relation to the blackout on the windscreen, I know this will vary but just want to make sure I'm not going mad.

All I can see when I lookout the windscreen is wiper :headbang:

Gannet thanks for that, just reasurance is fine, I can tell dealer I want the blade parked 1/2" below which is roughly where the middle of the passange blade sits.

All I can see is that you still have not finished your satnav installation as you have not installed the £6 rear cover plate :P

Your always picking on me PVR :D

I tried to fit over Xmas as car was due a service, but I have been to conservative with cutting the dashboard, so monitor needs to come out for a bit more trimming.

This will be done when it gets warmer, and when I get more time, no a job you want to rush is it.

That'll fix the wiper problem...

he didnt even have the decency to get of his ass and have a look at his not more than 6 feet away :poke:

My wipers have never parked properly and tend to stop anywhere between normal and half way up the screen, is there a quick fix or do i need a new motor as dealer suspects?

Hi, I had this problem & it was sorted today - it was a linkage problem, but BMW replaced the motor console.. although it was £232 for a seemingle minor problem... you'll get it done cheaper elsewhere!!
