Wiper motor parking

Need some help with my wipers. Just bought a 03 Z4 and the wipers sit really high. They don't seem to return to a lowered position.

I keep seeing posts about cleaning the wiper motor but can't find any details about what to actually clean. Is there a post I'm not seeing or can somebody point me in the write direction?
 
I think I did a write up on it- but from memory

yes its advisable that you clean your wiper motor internals as they get greased up

Pop your wiper blades off (you may need a proper tool to get them off the splines) taking the 17mm nuts off
Carefully remove the plastic panel black trim, the clips to try not to break are closest to the windscreen!
you can now see the scuttle area where the wiper motor sits, from memory there are 2x T30 torx bolts holding it in place and a white plastic clip. Undo the loom and out it pops
Undo the backing plate to the wiper motor you'll see a circular plate covered in grease- give this a good wipe and clean off with some contact cleaner

That should sort your parking issue
