Wiper mechanism z4 e85

Hi all, have done some wiper maintenance, cleaned the contacts on wiper motor to rectify the parking position of wipers, managed to break the white retaining clip that goes over rubber piece on wiper motor. Anyone else done this and can you buy it separate, have searched on line can't find anything, might have to ring sytner.
Any help or advice much appreciated
 
I also managed to snap the same retaining clip when I did it last week. I have asked Cotswold BMW about the part, will let you know how I get on!
 
Thanks, have done some digging bmw supplies sell them £12 but expensive postage. Am going to ring sytner tomorrow, will let you know how I get on.
 
Have just ordered one. BMW Supplies. Google them. £22 with postage. I had a good look elsewhere I couldn't see, any anywhere
 
I haven't had any issues with using the car/wipers without the clip as the mechanism is bolted in with some fairly hefty Torx bolts, but I'm ordering the clip to be on the safe side. You may well manage to do the job without breaking it!
 
Just to add to previous message, go on BMW Supplies live chat. Give them your vin number. They will send you a link you can order part from. I didn't want to pay that much but it is what it is!

Hi all, with reference to last post about wiper motor retaining clip, I need to renew the clip rings that go into the cowling holes over wiper spindles. Any idea what these are properly called and where I can get some from.

Can't find the round two part spindle hole covers that fit into the scuttle cover listed anywhere in Realoem.
 
Hi all, I know this topic has probably been discussed but I am need of a wiper relay for z4 e85. Is it the brown coloured one that I need to replace. Me and electrics don't get on 😧
 
Lol, I actually just finished and fixed my wiper relay issue last night, after having cleaned the motor and everything. It fixed the issue completely for me.

Pro tip: If you NEED your wipers to be working right now (very important IMO), you can temporarily use the fog light relay that's sitting next to the wiper relay--they're the exactly the same. When I ordered a new wiper relay from BMW, the part I received completely matched the fog light relay and the fuel pump relay. So you can use that for now until you manage to get a new relay in the meantime. You'll lose your fog lights though.
 
Hi, the wipers work but only intermittent and normal speed. They park ok on screen. I changed relay for a brand new one from sytner but still same.
 
Move the wiper stalk up one stage I get intermittent, move it up another stage what should be normal is still intermittent and then third stage is normal when that should be full speed wiper setting 🤔
