I tackled it on Sunday afternoon and it only took just over 30 minutes.
The only trouble I had was getting the actual wiper arms off. The rest of it was a breeze, and the fix worked beautifully.
There was plenty of gunk on the contacts in the wiper motor which is now clean and working brilliantly.
Feels like a new car, I can confidently face winter now
