Has anyone had any issues fitting flat blades to their cars like these lucas clearvision ones ?

I've fitted some to my Z and the passanger one is fine but the drivers one wipes ok going up but judders and misses half the screen on the down stroke :(

Has anyone fitted any other flats like bosch or denso and had this problem ? or could it just be with the Lucas ones ?

Cheers JJ

No issues here apart from passenger side not sitting flat when parked, wipes fine though. Is it fitted properly? Give the screen a good clean (polish if necessary) and wipe along the blade with vinegar. If that doesn't cure it try swapping them over and see if the other one is ok. Could be the arm.

I have bosch flatblades on mine. Didn't judder at first, but recently the drivers side one has been.

I used to have cheapo ebay flatblades on and they juddered all the time, so i'm guessing my bosch ones may be dirty?

The noise is infuriating!

Yes fitted correctly, only go on one way, and only put them on on sunday so they as clean as can be.
I think they just don't suit the curve on the screen on the down stroke :(

I've left the flat on the passanger side and put the old standard type back on the drivers untill I decide what to do :headbang:

I had one once where it wasn't quite fully clipped in. Seriously though, give the screen and blade a clean. Just because it's new doesn't mean it doesn't still have gunk from manufacture on it. :)

Polish? Use Rain-X  and......... it stops icing :)
I've got a simular product that I put on the screen evry now and then
Used to also use it on my helmets visor :D

I don't believe it!!!!
My wipers have been making a hell of a racket for a week or so. Last night ordered some Bosch Flat blades on E-bay
Got in the car this morning, one squeaky wipe, then.....silence :headbang:

Least I'll have a spare pair for when I need them :)

I might try some bosch ones, just can't understand why the drivers one I had on misses half the screen on the wipe down :( :x
Bloody wipers

Bosch on mine also - did start juddering a while back, quick wipe over with screen wash and all ok.

I have the Lucas flatblades, had them for over 12 months now and they still work perfectly for me and I will buy them again, however mine are the same as scooba-steves....the passenger side blade doesn't 'hug' the windscreen when in the parked position.

Have you never used a glass polish? I've always found it much better than just the cleaner, inside and out. Rain-x is well worth it too but it does make you wonder why everyone is slowing down!

Another plus 1 here for rain x type products. I used to use Rain Wizard - that stuff lasted ages, you didn't need wipers over 30mph even in drizzle, and was packaged in a pink dildo shaped dispenser.

They don't sell it any more, so I'm currently using Halfords Own Brand. It doesn't last as long and the bottle shape tears up your ringpiece too, so remember to include the price of a butt plug in any comparison :o

Brilliant - absolute silence :)

Bit of a pain trying to see how they fit. At first the passenger side was leaving a patch in the middle of the screen
Turned out I had fitted on the hook the wrong way round.

Easiest way is to remove the top cover of the blade and slide over the wiper arm.
Then click blade in place on the hook (slides on really easy - if it doesn't you've done what I did at fitted the wrong way round) and then replace the cover
