Wiper Blades

I need to get some new wiper blades, I think the current ones are original....the passenger side just smears and they judder and screach really bad.

Someone said I should get aero blades as apparently they are better, and look more modern (for a wiper blade!).

Any advice? Or just stick with normal Bosch etc?

I've never been impressed with aero blades (just my opinion).

I'd just stick with a decent brand - Bosch have never let me down unlike Halford own brand ones which seem to disintegrate.

Bosch aero are a good choice, I've used them numerous times on the family cars

However, the last set I bought were these:

They've worked perfectly to date

I replaced mine with OEM from BMW at 28 GBP for a set I thought wasn't too bad, looks original and functions the way it should. :)

I just fitted a pair from Wilco, £9.

I think one is 20 and other 22 inch, but double check first.
Quite impressed might buy another pair as often these things become no longer stocked or design changes.
Look similar to obewan link.
They are solid construction unlike the Bosch i removed which looked very old fashioned.

Bosch Aerotwin blades. Been fitting them for years to various cars, including the ZED, and always been satisfied. Streak free wipe and no squeaks or judders.

I just fitted OEM BMW wipers on the car. They fit and work perfectly. The price was reasonable too.

I bought a pair of Michelin ones for £10 in Poundland. They work fine, but the passenger one leaves an unswept area at the bottom of the screen - it doesn't bend enough to follow the curve of the screen.

Thanks for all input.

EssexZed - they don’t do those specifically for the Z4 but you can buy individual ones. What sizes did you get (e89), 20” and 21” (or 22”)?

I’ll butt in, in case you need a quick response
Personally I go 20 & 22
Although 21 or 22 is not that critical IMO
However more than 20 on the passenger side causes the blade to over hang at the edge as it doesn’t fit the contour of the windscreen

Ive got the bosch aero ones from wiper blades.co.uk they usually have discount codes and then just purchase through a cash back website

Surprised more people don't have an issue with the last 1" of the passenger blade. Worth a look, or perhaps not, as it might just bug you forever lol. I could only get OEM ones direct from the dealer to fit flat and follow the curvature of the screen.

More solid wipers overhang, as on my car. The Bosch old style with the multiple "coat hangers" follows the contour.
Just shows there is a reason for nearly everything.

I've just gone back to the coat hanger style after not having much luck with the flat type. I've just put some Bosch ones on specific for the e89, they are both 21" and the passenger ones curves two ways to fit the screen perfectly. They don't look too deep looking either but mainly they now wipe the screen with no judder or squeaks and no missed areas either.
