Wiper Blades that fit properly

I have been reading through all the threads about the aero wiper blades from Bosch but it seems that they dont fit properly in the bottom corner of the screen where the windscreen curves in?

Is that the case for all of them or just some of them? I want to get new wipers as the old ones look hack and also they whistle at motorway speeds which is very annoying.

Can anyone suggest any wipers that will definitly fit and hug the screen all the way round but dont look rubbish and dont whistle?

Standard Bosche ones fit perfect.... but dont sweep the screen as quietly or effectivly as the aero ones.

My Bosche aero dont fit on the passenger side (the last inch on the far end of the screen) but as the drivers side works so well i have left them on.

Same Here

How about getting a smaller passenger aero wiper than the standard 20"?

That way, the amount of 'overlap' will be reduced by 50% of the reduction in size you choose. So a 18" wiper will reduce the overlap by 1", and a 16" wiper will reduce the overlap by 2".

I don't think either size reduction will affect the screen clearing ability much either.

How often to you look through the tax disc at the road :?

Everytime I walked up to the car I would notice and it would piss me off!

I may look at using an aero for the drivers and a standard one for the passenger side and see how that goes

or do what mmm-five suggests...

though I have just done the opposite on our other car - came standard with a 14" wiper on the passenger side which was way too small - increased to 16" is much better, so I wouldn't go too small.

I actually tried an 18" wiper from my old car (which was about 3/4 inch shorter on the end of the screen and 1.25 inch shorted in the center) ... and while the whole wiper had contact with the screen it looks worse then the 20" as it looked visually shorter... and when the wipers were parked didnt cover the whole screen.

However the sweeping motion still worked correctly as only the top of the windshield wasnt covered (which is covered by the rear view mirror anyway... but the the triangular patch in the center (between the passenger and drivers side wipers)was also slightly enlarged.

I've got the standard Bosch ones on mine and they make contact with the windscreen all the way along. However, the drivers side wiper keeps working itself loose! Doesn't seem to clip into place. Very annoying!

Just fitted a set of Bosch Aero's and well pleased with them there is the issue of the passenger side not touching, but the look and the performance outweigh that little problem

Had a couple of sets of Aero and similar and binned them. Didn't do the full sweep, shook at speed and looked clunky compared to later cars using oem style aero blades.

Fitted genuine dealer blades and they just work perfectly

I have tried PIAA, Bosch and BMW blades.

Couldn't get the PIAA to fit at the passenger side outer edge so moved them on (it was a curved blade of the recommended size).

The Bosch also couldnt fit the contour of the screen at the passenger side so I put those on my fathers Audi A4.

Compared to the Bosch the BMW blade as more pivot points between the blade arm and the rubber, I think this is what helps it fit the curvature better.

I have not tried the newer Aero retrofit blades but would be interested to know which ones fit perfectly.
