Wiper Blades or Inserts?

Guys:

For my Toyota, I typically replace just the blade insert and not the blade nor the arm itself.

For my 3.0si zed, I looked on RealOEM, and only seem to see a part number for the passenger side blade insert, and it is called "Wiper blade" only.

Does the wiper blade insert exist separately for the driver's side?

Or, am I just mistaken altogether and I have to purchase the whole blade for each side?

And, does anyone know why the driver's side has a big plastic looking piece on it that the passenger side doesn't have? Is this part of the rain sensor?
 
BMW sells their blade inserts as one size fits all. That is, you buy the blade and then trim it to fit the particular model or side you are replacing.
 
The 'exra' part on the drivers side is to exert downward pressure ont he blade at high speed and keep it pressed to the glass.
