Wiper blade linkage broken

My drivers wiper blade decided to break today and the linkage is basically knackered. You should be ok with those as they’ve successfully used by others, got to be worth a try before spending £500!

What made it break, was the blade frozen to screen ??
I if it doesn't work, I would look at the breakers route, after all, how many of these break ??

This is the arm popped off the ball joint isn’t it.
I fixed mine years ago drilling the ball joint and tapping an m4 thread then using m4 bolt and large washer to stop the linkage dropping off.

Definetly give the clips a go. I used the exact same clips about 2 months ago to fix this issue. The wipers have been fine ever since

Just aged over time I guess, as was garaged all day. Drove out to pop to the shop and it was raining and just went.

You might need a puller to get the wiper arms off the splined shaft :?

The previous owner of mine bound them with copper wire. I got shot of that and used those clips with plenty of grease and I've never had a problem since.

Getting the arms off is quite easy. Remove the nuts, spray in plenty of penetrating oil and leave an hour.

A good hard wiggle and they will pop right off.

Mine did the same on previous zed, i picked up a new motor from a breakers for about £120 delivered.

Worth trying the clips though first by the looks of it.
