Wiper Arm Removal

Picked my car up from the dealer for the third time yesterday after they replaced the wiper linkage and skuttle panel.

Problem is the wiper arm isnt in the correct position in my mind, they have tried twice to move, it is better but not where I believe it should be.

Question is doen anybody know how coarse/fine the splines are on the wiper arms as this will determine the number of positions available. Dealer states the next position is to low and the wiper will clash with skuttle panel.

I tried to remove the arm today but not sure what is best method as it doesnt seem to want to come off easily I guess a small 3 legged puller would be best, any other ideas?

to remove the wiper arm do the following:

park them where they should be.

undo the nut that holds them on.

be carefull with the passanger side one as you cant get the arm to lift to 90 degrees without hitting the bonnet (you will have to do this one in a different part of the swept arc)

lift the arm upright to its max position and wsing the full length of the arm as a leaver move it gently back and forth and circular always acting against the hinged point. it them will pop off.

whilst off lubricate the hing point as its this bit that causes the wipers to squeek.

Tried that but will give it another go. Do you know what sort of positioning is possible i.e. how fine the splines are.
