Winter...

Naah.. I still wear short sleeved shirt and thin padded jacket when off to work :D
Haven't used long underwear for years.

A Z4 nicely positioned in one of those pictures would probably win the February photo competition

I know the snow can be a pain when you want to get around - but it's damn pretty!

I agree, snow is not so fun if you are not used to it, or do have proper clothing & equipment for cars. In my opinion , february and march are the most beautiful winter months here. Quite a lot of sunshine and bright snow covering landscape. You have to wear sunglasses usually.. it is so bright 8)

Been there done that, one april we had little party in summer cottage and there was still some ice floating in water.. first we went to sauna, and then swimming between ice blocks. It was quite different experience..
I would like to share how different winter we have here, even this is not _So_ north or away from UK. Personally i would like to have shorter winter, because we have -tempeatures and snow usually until eastern. 1 day of may is about okay and it is like "beginning of summer" for us.

Today was -21celsius when i turned ignition from my winterbeater e46.. i have to use arctic clothing even my daily work is about 7miles from home. If i have any trouble with car i dont freeze to death :? So long underwear is must..

My Z is positioned in heated garage.. altough my E46 winter tyres will fit. So if i change tyres, and put insurance for day maybe then.. but it is quite expensive for day. Insurance companies dont like to put insurance active for 1 day drive only. Maybe cheaper would be transport plates. And i dont have engine pre-heater in my Z because it is seasonal car. I dont want to cold start it.

We had just -5. It really starts to feel like spring, weekend was very nice. :) Soon...

I never had any problems with my car in winter. And if I would, I know help is near. And I do drive a lot, about 60k annually with my daily driver.

Time for little update

I went for little walk in local forest, still 20-30cm of snow. Night tempeatures -10celsius, day +10 celsius.
Next week will be much cooler, we will see if we get more snow.. :|
