Winter workhorse + Health update

Met the dental team Monday, nice bunch.
Discussed which teeth need to come out for Radiotheraphy purposes. There is far more involved than
i would have ever had thought, the serious dangers of bone diseas for example :o

They called me after they had all their internal meeting with my Cancer care Team.
The call came through yesterday and it's "A full dental clearance" ! So they are all coming out !! :?
A face to face consulatation being arranged for ASAP.
However, the surgery/operation has already been booked last week of Febuary, so again they are not hanging about.

For replacement / reconstruction i have alrteady put in an order for a full set of "Jurgen Klopps"

Off to hospital tomorrow (Will give the Z4 the run out, roof down maybe) New PICC line dressing, check scheduling as it's got very busy
again now. PEG line insersion (Stomach feed tube) needs to be sorted soon, measured up for face mask date etc.

Feel ok this morning, so through the worse of round 2  Taste buds seem to be broken.
This morning's coffee not tasting as it should ?? :?

Oh and good morning 8)

Really admire your spirit in maintaining a sense of humour despite all your problems. I've just had a year of chemo and radiotherapy and I know it's not always easy. All the very best to you.

Good on you Sean for keeping so positive . Hope the weather is nice for your trip out tomorrow

Only way to approach something like this Sean, all positive thinking, feet on the ground every morning not in it

Enjoy your run tomorrow :driving:

It's so difficult to know what to say except I admire how you are dealing with this and to wish you all the best with the treatment.

Assuming that was the morning pic, it looks very early.

Cheers [ref]ekimj10[/ref], Well done getting through to the other side

Cancer care gone into Top gear again.
Radiotheraphy called, now they have the dental removal date, they are bringing everything forward.
From 4th March :
Chemo will be every Monday for 6 weeks.
Radiotheraphy will be every day Monday - Friday for 7 weeks.

So every Monday will get both :?

Thanks again, you guy's for the support 8)

It's good to know that they are cracking on with your treatment Sean, although it sounds like it will be something of an ordeal.

And like others I'm impressed by your positive attitude to it all and wish you all the best.

Hope you manage to get the Z4 out tomorrow too. :driving:

Wow, that's a proper sh*tstorm! :o

I suppose living by the coast it goes with the territory!

Good luck getting that lot off, and more importantly with the pump.

I only know you Sean, through reading your posts on the Forum but I’m full of admiration for the guts and courage you show during this difficult time. All the very best to you.

Well, you did buy a sh*t brown car so they just balanced it out

Good luck for the next week again, any more after that one or is it the reconstruction next?

Hope everything goes to plan and you kick its ass!!

I'm rooting for you mate

Round 4 cancelled on 22nd so teeth can come out on 23rd.

Chemo then is double up with radiotheraphy from 4th march.

[ref]darich[/ref], Cheers

Last year I went through a similar course of chemo and radio for recurrence of lung cancer and despite what most people are led to believe I found the chemo was easier to deal with, both during the treatment and after. The radiotherapy however during treatment had little effect except for some fairly mild skin burning, but since it ended about 6 months ago I've had endless problems with chest pains, breathlessness etc.
I didn't know that both treatments can be done at the same time. Very best to you and any family you have as they go through quite a lot at this time.
Yesterday I was told that a sure sign of old age is when you spend more time talking about your health than you do about your holidays (or cars in our case)

[ref]ekimj10[/ref], Respect for getting through both courses

Yeah did not know either the treatment combo was a possibility, that was not the original plan. So little concerned.
Expecting mouth ulcers from the radiotheraphy but adminstered every Monday to Friday for seven weeks.
Is that even tolarable ?? !! :?

Re familly, they live in the family home, no room for me. So i am blessed with my bathelor pad :D
So i can come an go as i please eat what i want when i want. Have 24/7 peace and not need to talk or entertain anyone
other than myself. Has been this way 8 years and is totally perfect in this situation.
As it happens the EX and son are around tomorrow morning to help build and set up an new recliner arm chair
which will be set up outlooking the English channel and beach 8)

Re Holiday's and plans, cannot make any, and have had to cancel..... :( :(
