Winter tyres! (pic heavy)

 Mostly Holland. Sometimes UK.
So my titchy 16" winter wheels have really come in useful recently during the cold snap in Holland.
After a fresh coat of plastidip had a few sojourns out to the Utrechts Heuvelrug with my good ladyfriend Laura and would never have even made it into the carpark on normal non-winter rubber.
Thought the Dutch air force was going to land in the vicinity at one point on seeing a thunderous convoy of 3 Chinooks!

Can't imagine snowy/icy winters without them now! Anyone else?

Just bought a set of 17'' 148 style wheels as a winter set to accompany my freshly bought 225/45 Nexen Winguard Sport 2 for my beloved Coupe.
I' ve also plastidipped the wheels on my miata and seem to be holding on just fine after almost 2 years.
I am thinking of painting the 17s of the Zed though in antracite. Not sure though..
I'll fit them next week and post pics

I'm currently 2 months into a set of Riken (Michelin made) winter 18s on my daily driver . In France currently & a 260 mile night drive on snow covered autoroute really proved their worth , they never lost traction & always felt safe .
They have also been great on frosty / damp tarmac the past few weeks & through standing water on motorway .
At £60 each fitted (225 40 18) they are looking like a bargain right now

They look decent. And those diagonal sipes should help maintain traction on the twisties too. Something I'm missing on these Kumho's.
