Hey all, me and the missus are planning on doin a European trip (Austria, Germany France Italy alps etc) during first two weeks of April.

I might just wing it on summer tyres but Austria have a requirement for winter tyres til 15th April, and we'll most likely be heading up the Alps weather permitting.

I dont really want to fork out for a full set of winter treads. If anyone is happy to rent out their tyres please PM me and how much you'd want for roughly 3000 miles being put on the tyres.

I'm based in Manchester - so no one too far from there (40 miles)

I had a set of 18" wheels with winters that I sold last year to someone from Altrincham - hopefully he might read this!

i think your pushing the good ship hope out - you want to rent some tyres and alloys and you are only willing to travel 40 miles to get them ?
i have never heard of anybody renting tyres and rims out.. thats unheard of.. why would anybody risk you ruining someones tyres and rims..
but the fact you wont travel more than 40 miles to meet such a lunatic is too wonderful to comprehend :)

changed my mind. i have some - £ 500 non returnable deposit and a penny a mile - sounds fair to me. :driving:

From memory you are on the 18inch 108s Shuey ? £250ish gets you a brand new set
Sling 4 of these on ( yes you can fit the 235 40 to all 4 )

Then you will have a set to use next winter in uk .
I have a set on my daily driver , great tyres in all weather :driving: manufactured by Michelin owned company

Lol I’d think the same to be honest... but a new set on black circles came up to 600 squids!

Oh 250 sounds reasonable for a full set... thanks mr Wilks... on black circle I had 600 as the cheapest set!

Will actually get a staggered set, at 60 a pop... couldn’t justify 150 per tyre as I originally thought!
