It’s the time of year here in Sweden to start thinking about winter tires.

I have found a great set but I’m concerned about the size.

Will 225/55 /r17’s fit on an e85?

Onto which rims ? as in width

If it's the 3.0i annd not the si , definitely , and probably si as well, depends on the brakes the wheel has to fit over.
What have got on now, what size wheels and what rims, are those rims coming with the tyres, ?

17s are OK on a 3.0Si (subject to offsets) - but I'm not sure about Ms.

OP, have a good look at the rims - you need to find their width and offset to be certain. That should be stamped on then somewhere (often on the back) - offset will be either ET then 2 digits, or IS and 2 digits if they are a BMW wheel.

Yep the rims are coming with the tires. I’ve a 2.5 automatic. Its raining like hell here so I’ll check what is already on the car tomorrow

There’s 225/45/17’ on the car now. They are on the stock 103's.

Isn't 55 profile too tall, considering the standard profile on a 17" rim in 45?
