I’ve already got a set of Continental AllSeasonContacts in 255/35 R19’s on Veemann V-FS36, a multi-spoke design in gloss graphite which went rather well with the SL, however probably not so much with the new M40i.

So the poll, which one should I replace them with, either

Or TSW Tamburello in Matt bronze

Or keep the current ones

I love the look of those Ispiri wheels, but can't help thinking winter would ruin them!

So I'd just stick with what you have and spend what you saved on something else.

CSL for a winter wheel…the others look too frail for moi.. :tumbleweed:

The FFR6 are gorgeous, but also like a CSL style wheel, can’t decide so I thought I’d let you lot do it :D

I’d have the TSW’s for winter and have a set of the FFR6’s for summer. Never been that keen on multi spoke alloys.

It looks like I’m not having either as they are both out of stock, :(

Ispiri's for me, but as they are out of stock the MCR2's are a good alternative. It's a good 'open' wheel which will show of your callipers and discs.

Do they do these MCR2’s in gloss black? IMHO Gloss black wheels on a SF red G29 look awesome.

[ref]Scubaregs[/ref], The BMW recommended winter tyre size for the M40i is 255/40 R18, but as I have 255/35 R19 AllSeasonContacts

[ref]biZ4rreMids[/ref], Harry of Harry’s garage fitted a set of bronze alloys to his red GR Yaris and it looked lush. I think if you have the sports plus pack and get all the black trim then yes, mine is the standard cerium grey so possibly black may look odd :idunno:

Cheers Sars. On the fence at the moment, being made redundant next summer so only really this winter I have to worry about for my 80 mile round trip commute. Only the Beast from the east has caused me real problems, in a GT86, so I will probably gamble and hope winter this year is ok.

This time last year we had had a few frosts by now, which made me go out and get the Continentals, transformed the car on those cold damp mornings.

hi
looking at getting back into a z4 ,had mk2 and facelift one , looking at getting the latest version and have used a square set up with winter wheels same size offset and wheels front and back ,do you need to have a staggered set up with the g29

[ref]adey[/ref], for winter wheels BMW does indeed recommend a square set up for Z4, The G29 for the UK are all staggered set up either 225 & 255 or 255 & 275

hi Sars

thanks that sounds promising looking at some 17 inch style 618 to fit for winter wheels with 225/50/17 tyres
