T Tommy_hf Member Sep 22, 2013 #2 fold just pull it downwards. Mechanism broken, I've had that with the drivers side mirror. Had to replace the entire assembly.

W willt Member Sep 22, 2013 #3 Thanks, Tommy. I did try to pull it down but it was really stiff and I didn't want to force it. Is it right that you have to pull it pretty firmly? Do I just need to be brave??
