Wing Mirror Glass

Does the 3Ltr Si 2006 have heated rear view wing mirrors ? Noticed that while out recently, after dark, the car behind me headlights were brighter (undimmed) on the passenger side compared to the drivers side mirror so wondered about replacing the glass for tinted if there's one available but are they heated or not is my question?

Look at the drivers side mirror. Does it have a rubber seal around the edge? If so you have auto dimming mirrors and maybe the passenger one has been replaced with a standard glass at some point.

 will check that.

Wouldn’t surprise me; the auto dimming mirrors are very expensive compared to standard non-dimming.

I have auto dimming heated mirrors and had to replace one last year. Replacement glass cost me $225 only because the garage made a mistake on their quote. Actual price was over $300.

No rubber seal around the edge of the drivers side mirror glass, but the headlights from behind was definitely dimmer than the passenger side.

Ah ok, well in that case I guess you need to check both in daylight. One has been changed, but it could be a tinted one has been fitted in the drivers side.
Going to be a cheaper fix than we suspected though.
