has anyone ever had any problems with their mirrors button.

i seem to have an intermittent issue where it wont swing them down and apart from the button have no idea where to start looking. what car does it come from as in are they standard across the bmw range?

i think its rare to have electric folding mirrors, most cars seem to have just the heating (demist) function?
I would check the simple stuff first, has the fuse blown? Good luck with a fix.
Regards

sorry maybe vague, they are just the normal ones not the power fold. fuse is ok as the glass goes left/right/up but intermittently not down.

i only noticed as it need to put them down to see where the wheels are getting into my new tiny rental garage :D

Mine are fine. Never had any issues.

I would take the entire switch surround out. It just pops out. Make sure the wirings all in properly. Maybe the plug is broken or loose?

If the wiring is going to break anywhere, it will most probably do so at the bottom of the mirror assembly.

Interesting I assumed most had them. :o

They are mostly pointless though, apart from occasionally when I'm a bit close diving into the Garage.

Electric mirrors also come with the chromatic glass too so auto darken to prevent dazzling at night.

Which is a bugger to parallel park or spot the police behind you... But still a nice feature of them!

That must be the pack I have then. Cool. :)

It does make seeing the police difficult..... Especially when they're trying to catch you  oops.
