Windscreen wipers

Hi again
Just read the posts on the 3m kit so might give it a try. One of the other niggles is the resting position of the wipers. When they are working they go to the bottom of the windscreen. when you turn them off they rest a few inches up from the bottom. Seems a bit abnormal. Is there any remedy or is that just the way they are?
It's a 2.5i Auto 2003. Thanks
 
Common fault with grease contamination on the wiper motor. Have a search on here and there's a thread detailing a fix,mine was the same, took me an hour to sort out.

Just had a look. When they are on intermittent wipe it's the same as on full wipe they nearly touch the bottom of the windscreen and then rest up a few inches. The final resting position is the same; the drivers side wiper rests just above the black part of the base of the windscreen. The passenger side wiper rests a bit further up and at an angle.
 
have a look at my newly completed howto and you'll be able to solve this.
even if it's not the grease and just the wipers being placed back on incorrectly, you'll be able to solve it by following the thread :)

Sorry about the delay in the reply. Decided to let the garage that I bought the car from have a go at doing the wiper blades as I've got a years warranty on it. They followed the instructions on your link. (apparently there was loads of grease inside the wiper motor) Low and behold the wiper resting position is much better; resting just about on the black part of the windscreen. The garage said that they had never heard of that before! Thanks very much for your help.
