Windscreen wipers?

I'm back from LA for a couple of weeks. During my 6 weeks away, the car's sat outside, but not under any trees. Got in the car this morning and noticed there appears to have a patchy film when the wipers move. The filmy thing is only visable when the wipers move and screen is wet and is slightly annoying!

Washed and clayed the car and still no better. Is this a sign I need new wiperblades?

I'm not sure how often or when they need replacing...
 
You should change your blades twice a year. Once just after winter is gone (they damage from ice on the windscreen) and once around autumn.
