I've never seen so many people wash their windscreens as I do when I am directly behind them with the roof down. Do they really have dirty windscreens or do they think they will get me wet?
You tailgating them?! or doing something else to upset them? I can honestly say this has ever happened to me in nearly 20 years of soft topping. Maybe I've just been lucky, or have been too unobservant to notice when it happens to me!
