Windscreen washer blockage

Hi
My windscreen washer jets are not working correctly also. I have filled the bottle but still no change. Further to a recent piece of advice posted, someone suggested taking out the water bottle and giving it a clean. Is this as easy as it sound? Do I just pull it out?
