Windscreen wash level never drops?

After driving my E89 4,500 miles from new, I checked the reservoir yesterday, and it was still full (2 cm from overflow). I use windscreen wipe with spray regularly, and no way the windscreen wash level never drops. I'm sure both windscreen and headlamp jets work okay. Any idea?

It was few weeks ago, and I have been using windscreen wash regularly. I had also checked it several times before, it never dropped even 10mm. Strange. :?

Everything was at or over the maximum level when I picked it up in May, i.e. coolant level, windscreen wash. After 4,500 miles, the new engine has not used any oil (it is still at maximum level according to the OBC).

........know what you mean bud, been using mine loads in this crappy, rainy weather of late, but it just doesn`t seem to drop.

Result ! 8)

I use my windscreen washers frequently, and the car does warn me every once in a while that it needs more added! :D Bought a 5 litre bottle of the Halfrauds ready mixed stuff at the weekend and put it in.

My oil is also showing as being at the max level, but on my 325i coupe, it went from max to min overnight (no in-between). Mine will be due the first service in May next year when the oil will be replaced.

Your E89 has obviously been fitted with BMW's 'CHRS' (Condensed Hyrdro Recovery System) which is usually only standard on models built for high ambient temperature markets like the UAE, it recovers condensed and purified water from the air-con system and tops up the washer reservoir.
