Sure, but I'm not saying it is 100% waterproof. I'm simply saying that if the clips are broken and there's a 1cm gap all the way along the windscreen, significantly more water will get to the area underneath. And as you can see from my photo, that air filter housing would fill up with only half a litre or so of water which can fall in minutes in heavy rain. Nothing to disagree about IMO.
