Windscreen rubbers perishing in the frost

So the rubbers around the top corners weren't great. Now the frosts have struck they are starting to split open. Almost to the point where the corner piece is completely seperate.

I'm keen to avoid this spreading and having water ingress in god knows where.

I am unsure on the cost involved in this, but is it feasible to think if I "crack" a windscreen autoglass replace these rubbers? If they are bonded in they can't be reused can they?

From reading previous posts the windscreen people only replace the seal with a pattern one (you don’t want that)
You would have to cover the cost of an oe seal yourself I think? :?

Looks like an easy fix after watching that video.

Gummy pledge is really good for keeping seals lubricated, stops the doors etc freezing shut and it is also good for pushing various seals into position - might make things a bit easier when it comes to pushing the new one into place.
