Windscreen Replacement - What to watch for?

Hi All,

I'm getting my windscreen replaced on my Z4 by Autoglass. :|

Is there anything I need to be aware of/watch out for when the new screen is being fitted or after it has been fitted?

I've read a few horror stories so I'll be watching like a hawk...

make sure they fit new trim

we done one last week, straight forward job, if you dont replace trim it will end up coming loose as they stretch too easily
 
Watch that when they pull the panel off below the wipers that they don't rip its fixings off. It flimsy and fragile and won't then fit flush
 
With Autoglass it much depends on the fitter some good , some b...... awful, if you must go with Autoglass I would suggest you oversee the job 100%
 
Not to 'change direction' of thread too much, but I notice a fair amount of distortion in the vision through my windscreen, at the sides of it mainly, is that normal, or maybe mine has had an ill fitting screen at some point?
