Windscreen noise

With the roof open, there is quite a bit of wind noise on the left hand side of the screen (passenger side). Driver side is a lot quieter.

The windscreen is not the original one and is also not BMW but the rubbers look equal both sides. Any thoughts on what fitment could be causing that?

Paul, I'd hazard a guess at it being to do with the Windscreen.
Having and my o e BMW screen replaced years ago with a Pilkinton one and seal,the road/wind noise,both Roof up and Roof Down,increased alot.
Now , since having a BMW Windscreen and Seal fitted to it a year ago,it's been great again. Noise is much reduced.

Just my opinion,/experience,but the fitter was much better with the New screen compared to previous two companies with the non BM screen.
 
I did think that would be the case as I never had a replacement screen on the previous two e85 I had, I guess the rubber is thicker or so. Will have to live with it I guess unless it goes 8)

Yeah,the aftermarket seal on my Pilkinton screen had a join in it the BMW was one piece,so I reckon between that,and the guy who fitted my BM one last year said whoever fitted the previous screen hadn't used enough binding,as there was a gap on the Passenger side
That' was the cause of my wind noise at top of the screen.
Hopefully you get yours sorted

I need a new screen as well. One day it will get a massive chip in it :lol:
