Windscreen Jet Piping

Since my car came back from the dealer in January, the windscreen washer jets have not worked - they worked perfectly before, but not even the slightest trickle since.

Indy had a look at them and says that when the bonnet closes it causes the pipe to kink and nothing comes through. They've got it working by holding the pipe in a certain place/angle while gently closing the bonnet to stop it from kinking, and have suggested getting a longer pipe to fix it for good.

I'm fine with all that, a few quid on a new pipe. But I'm one of those people who gets annoyed when they don't understand something. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Could it be that the pipe is just unclipped somewhere? Could it be that something happened with the bonnet being opened very regularly leading up to going into the dealer? Could the pipe be damaged by being opened regularly like that? Any other suggestions for my piece of mind?

The routing of the pipes changed from 2011 to 2012 and later..sounds like they messed around with it and didn’t put it back properly…I’ll dig a picture out if your stuck of my 2012 car if that helps..

You are probably right, maybe they clipped it up somewhere out of the way while working on the engine and forgot to put it back. Thanks for the offer, I will have a look next week and give you a shout if I don't get anywhere!

Any picture of the pipe/s in question?

Nope, just wondered if it was a common issue in the first instance. I'll put one up when I have a look next week.

Here are the two bonnets and piping..

After opening and closing the bonnet normally this morning it still all works fine, so I'm really not sure what the problem was. I watched it as I closed the bonnet and it curved nicely, no kink. Perhaps the dealer pinned it up out of the way while working on the engine and it held in that position, and now staying back in the correct place after Indy repositioned it.
