Windows

Hi,

Just a quick question about the windows, we have had the car for a few weeks now and enjoying it :driving: . Last week I put the roof down, when the windows came back up they stopped about 2/3 up, I put the roof back up and put it back down, this time the windows came back to the closed position. The other thing is that sometimes when opening a door the window will open probably 3/4 of the way down, most of the time it opens an inch or so.

I did have the car in at our local BMW dealers yesterday, Jct600, as I was not happy about the condensation in all 4 lights. They fit 2 new rear lights and carried out some modification to the headlights  They also did a window reset, but the door windows are still doing the same thing. I have read the handbook (allegedly), am I missing something, is there a setting somewhere or am I pushing the remote button on the key for too long. I know it's no big deal but if it is a fault then I would like to get it sorted,

Cheers, Colin.

So Windows should go all the Way back up, when you hold your finger down on the button after the roof has gone down. The window opening two thirds of the way when you open the door is comfort entry. Comfort entry is enabled in the settings of the car, and is activated by pressing the unlock button on the remote fob twice in quick succession. Clicking just once on the unlock key on the fob will only allow The windows to drop just a short way that is necessary for clearance between the window and the rubber seals

Thank you for that Maniac, I did read about comfort entry but did not realise that it was a standard feature on all the cars. I will take more care when using the remote from now on and keep a check on it

It may well be that the window reset has solved the roof/window problem.

Cheers, Colin.
