After driving with both windows down,I press both buttons to close them and more often than not one of them goes back down after half way.Mulder,Scully you have your x file.

I noticed that my drivers side goes up faster than the passenger side

Here's my half baked theory: We know that a window blockage is detected by the increased current draw caused by the motor being unable to spin. In such a condition, the controller lowers the window so the obstruction can be cleared. I don't know where the current draw is measured, but perhaps the current from both motors running, plus a slight extra resistance from a window dragging in it's channels fools the controller into thinking there's an obstruction?

I can think of a few questions that contraindicate this theory, but I have no good answers. As I said, it's only half baked. Maybe paranormal intervention is a better explanation after all. I've experienced this behaviour as well. I had thought it was totally random, but now that you mention it, I think it was always when I was raising both windows. Then when I reattempted to raise the one window, it always worked fine.

My roadster did this as well, could be either window, sometimes it would go halfway down and others all the way, always wondered why

thanks for the prompt & thanks for the effort Shipkiller .
just found my drivers side not dropping/shutting up as it should :x
quick forum search revealed the above info & 2 mins later problem solved

Sure is... has to be because of the rear quarter windows...

Yeah I've found mine does this all the time, but only when the windows are at different heights and pressed to come up. If both are down at the same level then there's no issue. Very weird!

mr wilks, i'm sure you know everything about the coupe is better, faster, smoother, cooler etc :D
