Windows not going up after roof operation

Hi All,

Had a good read through here but could not find the answer to this problem.

When I open the doors the windows drop as they should and when closing them again they pop back up. No problems here!

When I open or close the roof, the windows drop as they should but after the operation has completed the windows do not return to the up position despite me keeping my finger on the roof button.

Dont think its a window reset issue as they work fine for door opening.

Anyone got any ideas????

I would do the reset procedure, nothing to lose.

I had the same problem after disconnecting the battery. It took a few goes at resetting to get them to return to the top.

Mine occasionally throw a hissy fit after the roof has cycled. A reset works.

Well, if you couldn't tell that Colin was an ex-squaddie, you certainly can now.
Oh, and if there's a funny noise coming from your engine, I tend to find that turning up the radio volume gets rid of it.

I have this too and thought it was just something annoying with the z (i am a new owner)
What is this reset procedure you all speak off.

1. Turn ignition on

2. Press and hold window down, when window reaches the bottom hold for further 5 seconds

3. Press and hold window up, when window reaches the top hold for further 5 seconds

4. Release and turn off ignition

5. Done

Same procedure for both windows.

You my need to repeat the proceedure a few times
