Window switch

Anyone had experience of this

Have tried numerous resets of the trap mech and auto up down as searched on here- no joy

Code scan attached

Now: is my window switch goosed:

Auto down works fine- the two stage switch allows manual down and auto lowering of window

Window up however- no action at all on first pull of switch, and window up behaves as manual on second ‘auto’ function of switch

Thoughts? Anyone had experience of this?

OK, stupid question probably: have you tried a third pull of the switch? Maybe it's worn and the first pull does nothing, second pull is the first, etc.
Assuming it is the passenger door? What happens via the drivers door switch?

May have over-thought this!
Just tried both the '53 2.5i and the 04 2.2i.
On both of those there is no auto up on the passenger door, regardless of which switch is used.
Have to hold the switch to make the passenger window move.

Edit: If it turns out to be code-able then you're booked to do both mine :wink:

OK, well neither of mine have it, so maybe it is a coding thing?

Its not on Carly for coding: just looked

Will have a look on INPA

Have you tried the reset procedure? May be worth a go

OK I'll give it a whirl.

Passenger side was not activated from new, had to be specifically asked for. Can be coded with ncs.

I don’t know what solved it but it’s fixed-

Took the switch apart and (after losing loads of bits) used some contact cleaner

Back together and it all works as it should now!
