Window regulator squeaks

For a long time actually I have this annoying problem. When I close the door and the window lifts up, it squeaks twice. When it stops, the regulator pushes for a moment further, making a squeak. When the regulator stops pushing, the squeak stops for a short moment and then when the regulator releases tension, it squeaks again.
I already tried to grease the regulator but with no success. I didn't overdo the greasing however, should I?

It appears to me the squeak comes from inside of the cable drive. Is there a way to silence it? 🙏 That squeak is loud as hell, the whole door becomes a speaker as the sound transfers...
 
I think it's the funny little buffer mechanism (beige with spring and black spigot.) Try some silicone spray in there.
 
I did. And sprayed some on the rails as well. It got even louder then...
After some rain today it got quieter. I'm starting to think the sound comes from the upper door edge, although it's hard to say because the whole door squeaks as one.
