Window regulator fitting help.

I wonder if anyone could help?

I am currently replacing the passenger side window regulator on my 05 Z4. On the broken regulator it looks to me the motor for the regulator is riveted on to the chassis of the old regulator. In the box from BMW the regulator did not contain a new motor. Is the kit meant to include a new one or am I expected to drill the old motor off of the frame and re-rivet it onto the new regulator frame.

If anyone knows of a decent step by step guide for this process this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'd like to know this as well as I've got to do my drivers side and haven't started the job yet or ordered bits.

The kit I got has a white plastic cable wheel with grooves on for the cable, to get the housing off you need to unscrew the motor and drill off the flange of the rivets. The good news is that there is plenty of room for small nuts and bolts to bolt the housing back on, don't forget to grease the housing and wheel.
Relatively simple job.
