Window Leak/Alignment

Hi all,

Had a small annoyance, now I've got a big problem, perhaps not everything is worth "fixing" by an inexperienced pair of hands.

Anyways, there used to be a tiny little gap around here (pic below):

This image is not from back then, but the current situation, but like I said, I used to be able to stick a tip of my finger through a gap in that location when the window was fully closed. This surprisingly did not cause any leakage, but when the car went for a jet wash with me inside, I decided to do something as I got sprayed a little.. In addition, if the window was not fully closed but sort of near the top, I could hear it hitting something inside.

So, after having read these instructions, I decided to re-align the driver's side window for it to make a good seal when closed and prevent any loose parts causing damage in the future. I spent almost 2 days taking the trim on and off, cursing the hell out of the window mechanism, but now it's gotten so much worse. The bolt for the castor angle alignment was a total nightmare - it'd get tight, then I'd check the window and it's moving everywhere and all of a sudden the bolt is loose again. Anyways, in my last attempt I somehow managed to bring the glass towards the back of the car as much as I could, tightened the bolt whilst thinking of a "cold one" after a job well done, but hell, it's still the same and I can't even get it back to the original state, before the start of the repairs, where it wasn't too bad.

The left hand side of the window when looking from outside, between the door and the roof is so far from the seal, that I could easily push my fingers through into the car's interior. I did check the 10mm nut for camber angle and it was in the right position, so this is really weird. Pics below.

Apologies for the angles of the pics, for some reason they get rotated when uploaded on here.

Not sure what else to do. The window seems like it should move more towards the back of the car so as to be closer to the seal. Likewise, it could probably be pushed in a little more with the 10mm camber angle nut, but I can't adjust them anymore or I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone help, please?? I'm off abroad on business for a week now, so will have to properly cover the car, just in case it rains...

So the tightening of the T45 behind the door trim doesn’t do much to it. Window seemed to be tight at first, but I was able to move it left and right by placing my palms on the window from the outside. The gap is somewhat reduced when I slide the window to the left (from outside), though not enough to make a good seal, but goes back to a really wide gap once the window has been opened and closed back up again.

Maybe I’m imagining, but after messing about with the window, the door feels like it needs more force to shut properly. Sounds like a visit to a garage soon.

Another update

Managed to bring the position of the window nearly to where it was before. It is interesting how the front and rear Torx (25) adjustments work, I thought there was a problem with the tilt of the window, but I managed to sort that out with T25s, though took some time and trial and error. The only problem that I have now is that in order for the window to be as close as possible to the frame to make a seal, I have to slide it to the left with my palms from the outside of the car. If I grab the window at the top with the door open, I can move it left and right, which is what I've been trying to fix earlier, but the T40 behind the door trim seems to be a bit "dead". I make it tight, then check the window to see if it moves and the whole mechanism gets loose again.
