Window funkiness !

Just found this out at the weekend ...

Unlock car with one button press - window goes down a couple of cms when you open door handle and closes when you close the door
Unlock car with two button presses - window goes almost all the way down when you open the door handle and closes when you close the door

At first I thought it must be an error but it's reproducible so I guess it's a function with a reason ... any one know why ?

I know if I hold the unlock button then the windows all go down and the roof opens :)

For info, you can download the manual as an app on your phone, just search BMW drivers guide in your app/play store.
 
The manual on my 4 series is on the car's hard drive, or so I'm told.

I downloaded an Ipad app for it and use that, although it never seems to deal with the issues that I have.

Or you never seem to have your phone / ipad when you have the issues to deal with
 
I’ve a 2007 Roadster, if I press unlock on the remote once or twice it makes no difference the window only drops a few mm which I believe is due to the window seal - I would like the open close function for use in my garage ! Am I doing something wrong !?!?

it might not be coded into your car. If you find a member near you with carly, they could program it in for you http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=97818&p=1434560&hilit=carly#p1434560
