Window drop on opening...

The distance the window drops when opening a door seems to change every time - is it meant to change for different conditions?

No. It drops 1 inch to get in and out. .... or... if you double click the fob, it will drop several inches to allow you to get in or out of the car in tight spaces easier. No change every time though, 1 inch normal, half way down only on fob double click.

Ahh. It seemed like it always drops further when it's raining or windy!

If it's iced over it doesn't drop at all meaning the door won't open!

I think this is because you hammer the button in these conditions as you’re eager to make sure the car is open when you try to get in. It used to happen to me a lot until I figured out why.

So if I'm already in the car, how can I force the window to drop further to help getting out?

Double click the unlock button on the fob. Its in the owners manual
