Window closing

Has anybody come across the issue (bit of a strong word for this but stay with me) where the window doesnt quite shut properly when you close the door? I usually have to open the door and then give it a more firm shut and then the window locates properly. I know when its happened because of the wind noise / whistle that comes from the window. Dropping the window and raising it solves the problem and you get a bang from the window as it must be sitting under pressure the wrong side of the seal. If i remember and shut the door (hate to say slam) more firmly then its never an issue. Anybody know what i am talking about? :? :?

I can't imagine how the glass would hang up on a seal when the door is closed less forcefully. Unless you can identify exactly where it is hanging up, I think a more likely explanation is the drive cable has become stretched and frayed. The frays hang up and prevent closing fully, then when you open the window a noise is made when what's hung up is forcibly released.

It's not that it doesn't rise properly, the problem is that sometimes the rubber seal gets it the way, I.e. The window doesn't sit behind the seal but tries to close on it. I think it's definately if I don't close the door hard enough.
