Window auto-adjust when opening / closing doors

Hi all,

I've had a few situations recently where when I've turned the ignition off, opened the door to get out and closed it but it won't shut because the window hasn't auto-adjusted itself (sorry not sure of the name of this function).

It means I have to get back in the car, put the window down a bit and then back up again and then it seems to function correctly. It's happened on both the passenger and driver sides.

I have a suspicion it may be if I have turned the ignition off realising a window was still open, then shut the window and got out of the car, but presumably this is still a fault?

auto window up stops when you open the door. very annoying, i do it all the time.

either this, or do the window reset procedure if it's "learnt" the upper limit wrong. *search*
