window anti-trap feature

Just had the window motor replaced and it seems fine but the one touch rising seems to detect a phantom object about a third of the way up and go down. it will power past with pressure on the switch and the roof down function works fine. I have done the re-initialising and the window comes down on one touch fine. Is this a badly fitted window, ie back to the indy who did the motor replacement or another fault?
Cheers

Yeah, sounds like something is amiss there. The anti-trap feature takes some force to stop though, nearly broke my finger by accident the other week... ****, that hurt!!

I have the same problem with both windows but only happens every so often. It's probably hard to diagnose if it's intermitent but if you find a solution do share!

Ditto, mine occasionally has a little hissy fit and drops again til you hoild the switch to force it all the way up...then won't do it again for months.

But if you've had the window motor replaced, its a bit of a no-brainer I guess..... :|

Try a window reset.....

1. Turn on the ignition
2. Depress the individual window button until the window is open, then keep it pressed for 5 seconds longer.
3. Depress the window button until it is closed, then release.
4. This should reset the memory on the window.

Same procedure for both windows
