Window adjustments?

My passenger door window is not making full contact with the rubber weather seal when closed. The window does operate correctly, most of the time, with the slight drop when pulling on the handle and back up when closing the door. However, at the top rear corner it sits a millimeter or two away from the rubber. This has not resulted in any major ingress of water as the car lives in my garage and is rarely used in the rain. I did see a few drops running down the inside of the glass last time the car was out during a heavy shower.

Are there any adjustments that can be made to position the glass tighter to the seal? I have a vague recollection of reading something, but cannot now find it.

While on the subject of windows. When opening my drivers door, the window doesn't seem to drop down slightly causing it to catch on the top seal. Once open I am able to push the glass down to where I would assume it should be. When the door closes, the glass goes back up as normal. Anyone else had this problem? If so what was the remedy?

Try window reset

Already tried that to no avail.

Any chance of there being too much slack in the window regulator? Try adjusting the tension in the cables?

How do I go about adjusting them?

[ref]Big Andra[/ref], I raise my hands - I honestly wouldn’t know! I just thought that could be a possibility. How about some lithium oil on the steel wires? It wouldn’t cause any harm and would allow for freer up and down movement. Just a thought
