Windbreak insertion?

Okay, probably a really stupid question but my 38 year old OCD has kicked in and I need to know. Which way around does the windbreak clip back in between the hoops? Is the flatter, more flush side supposed to go on the inside (forward facing) or outside (rear facing)?

IIRC the mesh is more flush on the side I put to the rear as the corners are less rounded from memory so doesn't look so good.

So you have the 'step' forward facing and the flush, flatter side facing behind?

Very strange - mine fits in perfectly, with a click, both ways. Nothing's broken on it either.

Look at the edge of the deflector, there are irregular sized little lugs on it that correspond to the rails on your roll hoops, and IIRC there's also a marking for R and L :)
I had to look myself the other day, when the sun came out to play

Something vrey different then. To clarify mine clicks in only ony way - th eother way the springs push it up. It's clearly marked L & R as noted by Dev inside the tracks.

Further the rails are located in front of the centre line of the hoops so the wider edge of the windbreaker at the front fits the wider profile of the hoop.

Wonder if your's is a retrofit kit or something like that?

Heres pics of mine.
Notice the top part of the clips, its shaped so will only go one way.
Does yours look like the pics??

Mine fits either way as well and while not the original owner I believe that all Canadian spec M's came with it from the factory. Is it possibly a function of model year as to which mount you have?

Okay, I've been out and checked my setup. Definitely does click in perfectly either way around, however It does have the 'L' and 'R' on either side of the deflector so the 'lipped' part should be facing forwards. Flush side faces to the rear. OCD symptoms subsiding... :D

Looks like some roll hoop locators are either handed like Russ' car or not, like mine and Wondermike's.
