Does anyone use the windblocker from roadstersolutions or another company? If so, how do you like using them?
Thanks

Would you mind posting pictures of it Citation 650? I know roadstersolutions has some up pics up but they're all cropped up, wanted to see some pictures of the entire car.

I wonder if they would produce one with z4-forum.com on it, rather than "roadster" ;)

It's just an etched decal, I'm sure that would be pretty easy to have made up.

Does the Roadster Solutions actually cut back on the wind so you can use the car with the top down at a colder temperature. The factory mesh unit for the MINI Cooper actually made the car comfortable in the 50's if the sun was out. I've read mixed controversy weither the blockers for the Z4 actually did anything other than provide looks. Some real feed back would be appreciated.

I have the wind blocker and with heated seats on, heater on, and a fleece pull over on, i've driven for short periods at 26 degrees F. 50s is nothing with the other stuff going and the fleece pull over.

I'm not sure I can reallly say it does much. I just like the looks.

Nice looking blocker, one of the best I've seen.

I use the OEM mesh that clips in and stores in the boot (not the version that straps over the roll bars) when not in use so am curious.

My understanding was that the mesh works by allowing air to pass through, but at a slower speed and therefore reduces turbulence rolling over the screen and inside to cockpit area. I would suspect that the solid screen has the opposite effect and increases turbulence or at the very least not reducing it?

Thoughts?

I whole idea behind the roadster solution windscreen is to allow you to talk to each other at highway speeds.

If you have it in you will notice that it does that perfect.

The wind from just above your head to midway down your arm is noticably less than anywhere else.
As a plus it tends to keep those areas warmer in the winter and allows the A/C to work better in the summer with the top down

I had a windblocker on my old z3 I used to have and It helped quite a bit. The illustration below shows how the air comes in without the deflector.
