wind shield

Hello

Firstly; I posted a question about a spare key that doesn't work (only had my 2.0 i SE since last Tuesday) had really good answers, about to try the idea of charging the key in an electronic toothbrush holder.

How many people use the wind shield screen that fits between the two roll bars behind the seats, and can you buy them outside a BMW dealer network. I suppose my real question is do they work?

Now I have the opportunity to offer my thoughts in a nurturing environment, I am still at the "this is brilliant" stage when driving the car, its a second vehicle, and truly a fine day thing, but really very pleased with the car, which came from a family member who bought it new. My mid life crisis is complete!

Hi Phil, glad to hear you're enjoying the Zed. My previous Zed didn't have a wind blocker - my current Zed does. It has an original BMW one that clips in place. It does make quite a difference to wind buffering and looks much better than the cheaper strap on 'gimp' ones. Not sure I would have bought one though - they aren't cheap and tricky to fit I beleive, but it came with the car.

Used mine once. Didn't like the rear view from the mirror. Not sure about the effectiveness unless you try it on the motorway.

Well worth it, especially with the wife flying shotgun. Reduces the in cabin turbulence quite a lot (and the passenger seat sat-nag) when its fitted.

Yes bit expensive but well worth it really does cut down the buffeting even when cruising down country lanes. Not so good with the roof up as it does impair some of the rear vision, although of course it is easy to clip in and out. Keep an eye on Z items for sale I have seen them go for sensible prices.
