Wind noise - Roadster?

Bought my Z4M Roadster yesterday. On my drive home I noticed that there is alot of wind noise from the rear of the driver side window. Nothing from the passenger side.

Any ideas on how to remedy the situation?
 
adjustment or worn seal! as the speed increases the noise goes up as it pulls the window out slightly.

somebody will be along shortly with a how to.

I let BMW do mine once under warranty. they ballsed it up beautifully!
 
I don't know how you adjust the window position itself (others do), but you can have a first attempt at cutting the noise by adjusting where the sliver door lock catch is on the sill. If you loosen the screws you should be able to move it in a few millimetres, which will in turn pull the door in tighter when it locks.

Sorry Bing, i don't think this is a good idea.

The door glass is the offending article and adjusting the door shut will create other problems not needed.

Cheers Dario - glad I have not tried to adjust the door shut yet then... However I have seen it recommended multiple times on here as a method for reducing wind noise :?

From that link it looks like you can make those adjustments without removing the door card - is that right ?

Yes Bing as I understand it there are some critical dimension to adhere to when adjusting.
 
annoying wind noise, even used to get it with my hard top fitted on my last m rdstr............you know whats coming........dont suffer from it in the m coupe !!!!! :P :poke: :rofl: :thumbsup:
 
or scuttle shake up charlestown hill now the highways have installed new spec 3rd world tarmac !!!!!!! :headbang: they've actually used all the extra money the government allocated for repairing pot holes after the harsh winter to build more traffic calming speed humps, ffs you cant drive at more than 20mph anyway due to the state of some of the roads :headbang: sorry off topic rant

I fixed mine by adjusting the door catch. When I compared the passenger and drivers door position it was obvious that the drivers door was not flush with the bodywork. I agree, I wouldn't adjust if the door is in the correct position to start with.
 
Just turn the wind noise adjustment knob clockwise (there are 2 rotary knobs on the dash above the heater controls it is the leftmost of the 2). :D
